I travel a lot, but it had been too long since I took a beach vacation. But when opportunity knocked, I opened the door! With cheap nonstop flights from Frontier Airlines out of Denver to Cabo, it was my chance. My first vacation in two years was a wonderful traditional beach vacation. I took advantage of all the great things Cabo has to offer, and, as usual, I wanted to share tips with the world. So, here's my destination guide to Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, Mexico!
The Beaches and Waters of Cabo
Wow, we just got back from a 2-month journey through Mexico, the Southwest USA, South Florida, and Grand Bahama. We drove over 7,000 miles, and we also rode in planes, trains, and a cruise ship to the Bahamas. We even learned how to practice a form of pranayama breathwork. It was as predicted, an epic summer road trip. Here is a rough outline of our paths. You can click any image to enlarge.
We had a great time, and there was so much that happened, so many insights, that it will all come out in time through various writing channels between the two of us. In the mean time, here are some key concepts, with which I became intimately familiar during our travels!
My “bucket list” – all the places I want to visit before I “kick the bucket” – is long. I’ve checked a lot off the list around the world, yet I still have destinations close to my Texas latitude and longitude. Sometimes, it's harder to make time to visit places closer to home than bucket list places halfway around the world. But, this won't be any local road trip. It will take us through seven states and deep into Mexico as we uncover secrets and share them.
I often promote solo travel, but partner travel is ideal here so I will be traveling with my girlfriend. For road trips, it only makes sense to have multiple drivers, and the extra body doesn't affect the price of gas, nor the cost of a camp site or hotel room. Sharing will be more cost-effective and experience-effective as sharing an experience increases its value! Here's a preview of the trip.
